Carman Dragone

Carman Dragone proudly holds a degree from Northwood University, where his academic focus centered on Economics and Automotive Management. It’s no surprise that Carman’s career trajectory was destined for the automotive realm, given his lifelong immersion in the industry. Aptly named “Car-Man,” his passion for automobiles has been ingrained in him since childhood, shaping his professional journey and fueling his dedication to excel in this dynamic field. From early on, Carman’s environment and upbringing have revolved around cars, instilling a deep understanding and appreciation for all facets of the automotive world.

Carman Dragone started helping his father run Mimi Dragone Incorporated, a large independent used car dealership in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In this role, he was responsible for every aspect of the dealership and eventually worked to become a hands-on owner. Carman served in that role for almost 22 years. From 2010-2014, Carman owned and operated a successful second location in Waterbury, Connecticut. In 2015, Carman worked as a Sales Professional for Blasius Chevrolet/Cadillac, averaging about 23+ cars a month. After that, Carman Dragone served almost four years as the Used Car Manager for Sullivan Automotive Group.

In addition to his work in the automotive industry, Carman Dragone served as Assistant Director for the Trumbull High School Marching Group, a position he has held since 1993. He is the visual caption head and the assistant director for the award-winning marching band. He has helped lead the team to perform for two US Presidents, hundreds of awards, and two Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades.

Through his business and marching band work, Carman Dragone has constantly sought to refine his leadership and team-building skills over the years. He has hired hundreds of professionals and trained countless young students, enjoyed it, and had the time of his life all along the journey! Throughout his work in the automotive industry, he has gained vast amounts of experience within F&I as a sales manager, purchasing and wholesale expertise, DMV, and customer satisfaction. 

Carman Dragone is the Founder, Member, and President of THSGEMB Alumni Incorporated, a Connecticut non-profit organization established to raise funds for the members of the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band.

Throughout his career, Carman Dragone has loved owning and operating his business; that entrepreneurial spirit is always within him. Nevertheless, he’s excited about this new phase of his life and is 100% dedicated to leaving nothing on the table and giving his all to the work laid out before him.
